Children, staff and parents benefit from four bright spacious playrooms each having their own outdoor covered area, where free flow between indoor and outdoor areas are encouraged.
Our younger children are based in two rooms upstairs with our older children in two rooms downstairs. The rooms are light, airy and welcoming to nurture early development with space to explore, investigate and discover using sensory areas, fostering their natural curiosity giving access to a range of toys and books with cosy spaces for children to rest and relax.
We are developing our garden to enhance the facilities already present in the large secluded outdoor areas where children can explore safely. We plan to operate a Forest School to provide another outdoor natural dimension to the education of our children.

Curriculum
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum using the seven areas of learning to ignite the children’s natural curiosity, imagination and creativity to help them experience the awe and wonder of the world in which we live. To support and enhance the children’s communication we are a Sing and Sign affiliated nursery.
Our detail planning is differentiated for each child, using the expertise of our practitioners, to ensure their interactions build on the specific needs and interests of each child. This develops their critical thinking, extends and consolidates their learning through a range of child initiated and adult led activities, thus supporting and developing their independence and social skills.
We track children’s development against the educational programmes and early learning goals to ensure continuous progression, challenge and controlled risk, giving each child the tools to maximise their opportunities and provide the best foundation for their future.
We use a digital software system to record our data, which also provides an excellent communication platform with parents.
Our staff
Our team of Early Years Practitioners are caring, well qualified and aim to provide a safe, secure, happy and enabling environment for children to play, learn and achieve.
Owlets operates a key worker system where children and parents are assigned to a specific staff member who will settle your child and work closely with you to get to know them so they have all the correct and up to date information to ensure their individual needs are met and together building the best foundations for your child’s future.
Our on-site cooks freshly prepare homemade meals every day, offering a range of food from different cultural backgrounds, thus ensuring wholesome, healthy and nutritious meals catering for all dietary (and allergy) requirements. We aim for mealtimes to enhance the development of social skills and independence.
